1. Q: What is the rest-O-flexTM Flexible Leg Sling?

A:  rest-O-flexTM is a new device that is worn when using crutches, walkers or similar ambulatory devices. (see "What is rest-O-flex TM"?)

2. Q: What does rest-O-flexTM do?

A:  rest-O-flexTM allows you to relax your leg muscles (hip flexors and hamstring muscles) by holding up your leg.

3. Q: Why is rest-O-flexTM a benefit?

A:  Holding your leg up while trying to walk on crutches can not only be exhausting, it may cause back pain as a result of muscle strain and improper alignment. Being able to rest your injured leg eases leg discomfort and reduces muscle strain.

4. Q: How does it help me “rebound” from my injury?

A:  rest-O-flexTM employs the revolutionary Poly-FlexxTMTension Band technology which allows flexing at the knee while walking and/or standing. Exercising your leg against rest-O-flex’s Poly-FlexxTMTension Band may; aid in blood flow, reduce muscle atrophy and help you “rebound” from your injury.

5. Q: Can I use rest-O-flexTM all the time?

A:  No, we do not recommend driving or using stairs when using rest-O-flexTM. A quick release trigger latch allows for easy detachment from the ankle strap or connector ring attachment for activities such as driving, using stairs, extended sitting etc.

6. Q: Does rest-O-flexTM come in different sizes, or can I adjust the length?

A: rest-O-flex's patented cinch clip allows adjustment of the Poly-FlexxTMTension Band for a customized fit for most people. Custom sizes are available upon request; please contact customer service for details.

7. Q: Does the rest-O-flexTM belt come in different colors?

A: The standard rest-0-flexTM  kit comes with a black belt. Additional colored belts are available on the website for purchase. Belt colors are : Black, White, Pink, Brown, Khaki, Silver Grey, and Navy Blue and Purple.

8. Q: Does the rest-O-flexTM Tension Band Covercome in different colors?

A: The standard rest-0-flexTM kit comes with a black Tension Band cover. Additional colored tension band covers are available on the website for purchase including red and yellow. Other colors are available on a custom basis; please contact customer service for details.

9. Q: Can I get a custom message or name printed on my rest-O-flexTM Tension Band cover?

A: Yes, you can get a custom message decal that you can place on yourself for an additional $5. You can order online or contact customer service to order. (Max 32 characters including spaces).

10. Q: Does the rest-O-flexTM have a weight limit?

A: The Poly-FlexxTM Tension Band is designed to handle the weight of most leg and boot combinations. If you have a special boot, or condition that you would like to discuss, please contact customer service or use the “Ask the Doc” button on the website.

11. Q: Can rest-O-flexTM be used with a walking boot?

A:  Absolutely, rest-O-flexTM is designed to be used with most walking boot configurations. The ankle strap can be used with a boot by simply securing the ankle strap around the boot (Grommet at the rear). OR the connector ring attachment can be used by threading the tape through available vent holes in the (Achilles) heel area of a boot. (The AIRCASTTM Boot for example). The connector ring attachment tape can also be used on boots that have fabric on the heel. (such as many styles of DonJoy boots). 12. Q: How do I use the rest-O-flexTM with my cast?

A:  rest-O-flexTM is designed to be used with a cast. The ankle strap will fit around your ankle over the cast OR the connector ring attachment may also be “molded into the cast” when the cast technician puts your cast on. The fabric of the connector ring can be molded in between layers of the cast and thereby bonded in place. 13. Q: What age groups is the rest-O-flexTM recommended for?

A: While we do not have specific age limitations, we would offer erring on the side of caution by consulting your physician before using this product. Usually, if you are able to use crutches and or walker in a proficient manner, rest-O-flexTM is likely to help. 14. Q: How do I know what length to have the Poly-FlexxTM Tension Band adjusted?

A:  The Poly-FlexxTMTension Band should be adjusted so that your toes remain 3-6 inches above the ground while walking. If you have a condition that you would like to discuss, or your height requires a custom length, please contact customer service or use the “Ask the Doc” button on the website.

15. Q: What kind of warranty does rest-O-flexTM come with?

A:  rest-O-flexTM has a One-Year limited warranty from the date of purchase against material defects and workmanship. Normal wear and tear is not considered a defect. Replacement parts and/or repair services are available; please contact customer service for details.

16. Q: Will insurance cover the cost?

A: Insurance coverage varies. Your insurance company and doctor will help determine your insurance coverage and needs.

17. Q: Do I need a prescription?

A: A prescription is not required to buy a rest-O-flexTM Flexible Leg Sling.
