ENGLISHrebound Flexible Leg Sling

BEFORE USING YOUR NEW reboundTM Leg Sling, PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND COMPLETELY.  CORRECT APPLICATION AND FIT IS ESSENTIAL TO MAXIMIZING THE BENEFIT OF YOUR NEW rest-0-flex TM Leg Sling.

 

INTENDED USE / APPLICATION:

Your new rest-0-flex TM Leg Sling assists in leg support and helps to avoid weight bearing when using crutches or other ambulatory aids. The Poly-FlexxTM Tension Band flexes during normal use and may; aid in blood flow, reduce muscle atrophy, andreduce muscular tension.

 

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:

Always disconnect Poly-FlexxTM Tension Band from a sitting position before driving, operating equipment or using stairs.

 

 

Putting On Your rest-0-flex TM Leg Sling:

 

1.   Put Belt on First;

Secure belt around waist (See Figure 1) and tighten for comfort by pulling adjustment strap through the buckle (See Figure 1A).  Place the rest-0-flex TM cinch clip on the side of injured leg.

2.   rest-0-flex TM   without a cast or boot;

From a sitting position, secure ankle strap around ankle of injured leg or cast, orienting the connector ring directly behind your leg (See Figure 2).

3.   rest-0-flex TM with a cast;

If you already have a cast on, use the ankle strap provided (As in Figure 2).

If you are getting a cast made, ask your physician or cast technician to mold the auxiliary boot attachment strap directly into the back of the cast with the connector ring exposed so that you can use the trigger latch (See Figure 3A).

If using a walking-boot (AIRCASTTM for example), you may still use rest-0-flex TM with the ankle strap. However, some styles allow you to thread the auxiliary boot attachment through openings in the rear of boot near the heel (See Figure 3B).

4.   Attach trigger latch;

From a sitting position, attach the Poly-FlexxTM Tension Band to the ankle strap connector ring (See Figure 4), (or to connector ring of the auxiliary boot attachment, See Figure 3A or 3B).

Stand up SLOWLY and CAREFULLY, allowing rest-0-flex TM to lift leg.  When properly adjusted, toes should not touch the ground. 

IMPORTANT:  Take a few moments to get used to the feel of your new rest-0-flex TM  Leg Sling before walking long distances. If you experience any discomfort, please discontinue use and consult your physician.

 

 

Adjusting your rest-0-flex TMLeg Sling:

 

1.   Release Poly-FlexxTM Tension Band;

From a sitting position, you may adjust the length of the Poly-FlexxTM Tension Band by releasing each band outward and upward from the cinch clip.

2.   Adjust for comfort;

Lengthen or shorten Poly-FlexxTM Tension Band for comfort.

3.   Secure Poly-FlexxTM Tension Band on Cinch Clip;

secure Poly-FlexxTM Tension Bands by pulling each band down into the respective V-notch and snapped into place. Be sure that bands are secure before use.

CARE / CLEANING

THE rest-0-flex TM LEG SLING MAY BE HAND WASHED WITH MILD DETERGENT. ALLOW TO AIR-DRY BEFORE RE-USE.  DO NOT PUT rest-0-flex TM IN DRYER OR USE OTHER HEAT SOURCES TO DRY. DO NOT STORE YOUR rest-0-flex TM Leg Sling OUTDOORS OR IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT.

 

WARRANTY:  Cornerstone Partners LLC will repair or replace all or part of the rest-0-flex TM Leg Sling for material defects or workmanship for a period of one year from date of purchase.
